  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups chopped apples Use fresh apples for best results.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the applesauce, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a dollop of vegan whipped cream or a scoop of dairy-free ice cream. Store in the fridge for 4-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
