  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use good quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the pudding mix, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a chewy texture, do not overbake. Consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking to enhance flavor.
