Method
Cooking the filling
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, then add in the ground beef. Cook until browned.
- Toss in the diced onion and minced garlic. Stir until the onion is translucent.
- Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Preparing the bread
- Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
Assembling the sandwich
- On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer the beef mixture and cheese.
- Top with the other slices of bread, buttered side out.
Grilling
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet over medium heat.
- Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and the cheese is melty.
Serving
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for about 3 days or in the freezer for up to a month. Reheat on low-medium heat to melt the cheese again.
