- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a different flavor, try using dark chocolate chips or adding nuts. Let the dough chill in the fridge for a bit if you want thicker cookies. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
