  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup Substitutes can be used, such as chicken or broccoli soup.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Essential for melty goodness.
  • 1 bag (32 oz) tater tots Crispy topping for the casserole.
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion Adds flavor to the beef mixture.
  • to taste salt and pepper Seasoning for the beef mixture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, and season with salt and pepper.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Top with cheddar cheese, then arrange the tater tots on top.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve hot and enjoy your comforting dinner!

Store leftovers in the fridge for 3–5 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven for best results.
