Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the crushed strawberries and crushed cookies until evenly mixed.
Baking
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges turn golden.
- Allow to cool on wire racks, and if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Chill the dough for about 30 minutes for enhanced flavor. Try adding chocolate chips or nuts for variation.
