  • 4 pieces chicken thighs or breasts Use thighs for juiciness or breasts for leanness.
  • 1/2 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Toasting enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnishes
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to create the glaze.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken.
  2. Pour the glaze over the chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze has thickened.
Serving
  1. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the glaze for a few hours or overnight. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
