  • 1 loaf garlic bread
For the Spaghetti Filling
  • 8 oz spaghetti Cook according to package instructions.
  • 2 cups spaghetti sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade.
  • 1 cup vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, mushrooms) Feel free to swap based on preference.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For topping the bowls.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a pot, heat the spaghetti sauce and add the vegetables, cooking until they're tender.
  4. Combine the cooked spaghetti with the sauce mixture.
  5. Cut the garlic bread loaf in half and hollow out the insides to create bowls.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Fill each garlic bread bowl with the spaghetti mixture.
  2. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Place the filled bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm.

Notes

These bowls keep well for about 3-4 days in the fridge. To reheat, pop them back in the oven for a few minutes. You can also prepare the spaghetti mixture a day in advance and bake when ready to serve. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for spice. For a vegan version, use plant-based cheese and sauce.
