Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, use a mixer to cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla and eggs until fluffy.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture, then stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  3. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies stay fresh for about a week in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds if needed.
