  • 1 baguette Baguette or crostini Use a fresh baguette for the best crunch.
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened for easy spreading.
Toppings
  • 4 oz Smoked salmon Choose quality smoked salmon for rich flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Capers Rinsed and drained.
  • 1 tbsp Dill or chives Fresh herbs suggested for vibrant flavor.
  • 1 slices Lemon slices For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into thin slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast in the oven for about 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Assembly
  1. Spread a layer of cream cheese on each toasted slice.
  2. Top with smoked salmon, a few capers, and a sprinkle of dill or chives.
  3. Garnish with a small slice of lemon.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 1 day, but the crostini will lose their crunch.
