Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Cooking Ingredients
  • 20-25 pieces large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for cooking shrimp
  • 1 each lemon, for zest and juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, optional Adjust based on preference
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • ice, for chilling shrimp, optional
Cocktail Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish, adjust to taste For heat preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce, optional For an extra kick
  • to taste fresh parsley, for garnish
  • as needed lemon wedges, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  3. Sauté shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Squeeze some lemon juice over the shrimp for a fresh twist.
Make the Cocktail Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and optional hot sauce.
  2. Adjust sauce to taste, adding a sprinkle of parsley, and mix well.
Assembly
  1. Once the shrimp are cooked, let them chill on ice for a few minutes.
  2. On a platter, arrange the shrimp and serve with a bowl of cocktail sauce and lemon wedges.
Serving
  1. Garnish with extra parsley and enjoy your beautiful creation!

Notes

These bites can be stored in the fridge for about 1-2 days. Prep shrimp and sauce separately if making ahead. Don't freeze unless necessary.
