Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the patties on both sides.
- Remove patties from skillet and keep warm.
Making the Gravy
- In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry, then stir into the broth, cooking until thickened.
- Return the patties to the skillet, coating them in the gravy.
Serving
- Serve warm with gravy, optionally garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Salisbury Steak can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days in an airtight container or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently to preserve the gravy.
