- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned; drain excess fat.
 - In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
 - Layer the bread cubes in a greased casserole dish.
 - Add the cooked sausage and cheese on top of the bread.
 - Pour the egg mixture over the top, ensuring all bread is soaked.
 - Cover and refrigerate overnight.
 
Cooking
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
 - Garnish with green onions if desired and serve warm.
 
Notes
