  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Adjust sweetness level as desired.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Can be replaced with fresh minced garlic for a bolder taste.
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Chicken
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, and salt and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl, tossing to coat them in the marinade.
  4. Arrange the wings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking until they are crispy and caramelized.
  2. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 1-2 minutes after baking. Adjust the brown sugar for desired caramelization. For variations, add sriracha for spice or swap chicken wings for tofu or cauliflower for a vegan option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
