  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese Use fresh mascarpone for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Beat until soft peaks form.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Adjust according to the tartness of the oranges.
  • Zest of 2 oranges Use fresh oranges for a vibrant flavor.
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice Juice oranges right before using.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.
For assembly
  • 12-14 pieces ladyfingers Quickly dip each in orange juice before layering.
  • to taste cocoa powder For dusting on top before serving.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into orange juice, then layer them in a dish.
  3. Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  4. Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top it with the rest of the cream mixture.
  5. Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours (or overnight for the best flavor).
  6. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Notes

Serve with garnishes like fresh orange slices or mint for a pop of color. This dessert is best made a day ahead to let the flavors meld. You can also freeze it for up to a month.
