One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Bone-in or boneless, skinless chicken breasts are fine.
  • 2 cups egg noodles Other pasta shapes can be substituted.
  • 3 tablespoons butter Divided into portions for cooking and finishing.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground is best.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Use a mix of dried herbs.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Can use vegetable broth for a lighter version.
  • to taste garnish fresh parsley For garnishing the dish.

Method
 

Cooking the Chicken
  1. In a large pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Add the chicken to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Cooking the Noodles
  1. In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until tender.
  4. Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the remaining butter and mix until melted.
Serving
  1. Slice the cooked chicken and serve on top of the noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Got leftovers? Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Don’t skip toasting the garlic for better flavor!
