  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
For Serving
  • to taste Marinara sauce For dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Take a portion of the mixture and flatten it in your hand, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and form the mixture around it to create a meatball.
  5. Transfer the meatballs onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
Serving
  1. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For best results, don't overmix the meat and use fresh mozzarella. Experiment with different cheeses for added flavor.
