- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mash the bananas until they’re smooth.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until everything’s smooth.
- Stir in the mashed bananas, mixing it well.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined — don’t over-mix!
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts if you’re feeling nutty.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and aromatic.
- Let them cool before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container. For chewier cookies, chill dough for an hour before baking.
