Ingredients
  

Cheeseball Mixture
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice) Feel free to experiment with your favorite cheese.
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions Adds a fresh and mild onion flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or your choice) Toasted nuts can add extra crunch.
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (cranberries, apricots, or your choice) Choose your favorite dried fruit for sweetness.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
  • Crackers or veggies For serving on the side.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, green onions, nuts, dried fruit, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Mix well until combined.
  2. Use your hands to form small balls from the mixture.
  3. Roll the balls in additional toppings like chopped nuts, herbs, or spices if desired.
  4. Place the cheeseball bites on a serving platter.
  5. Serve with crackers or fresh veggies and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-5 days. They can also be frozen for up to a month; just thaw in the fridge before serving. Possible variations include adding bacon bits for a smoky flavor or turning them into dessert cheeseballs with chocolate chips.
