Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 1 package pre-made pie crusts Can use store-bought for convenience.
For the Filling
  • 3 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp are the best) Peeled and diced apples for best texture.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust according to your sweetness preference.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Add more for extra spice.
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg Enhances flavors.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Prevents apples from browning.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Dab on top of filling before baking.
  • a pinch salt Balances the sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crusts and cut circles to fit your muffin tin.
  3. In a bowl, mix the apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt until the apples are well coated.
  4. Place the dough circles into the muffin tin and fill each crust with the apple mixture, leaving room for bubbling.
  5. Add a dab of butter on top of the filling in each pie.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  2. Let them cool a bit before serving.

Notes

These pies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For later enjoyment, freeze them for up to a month and reheat in the oven.
