  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick stuck in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
