Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil for cooking
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter for the sauce

Method

Preparation
  1. If chicken breasts are too thick, butterfly or gently pound them with a meat mallet to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the seasoning mixture over the chicken breasts evenly on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts.
  2. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add chicken broth and butter to the skillet.
  4. Cover and let the chicken simmer for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Remove chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh herbs. Allow chicken to rest before slicing to retain juices.
