Cooking the Chicken
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
- Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Preparing the Dish
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the orzo and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and simmer until the orzo is cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheese until well combined.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Serving
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Serve with a side salad for added freshness. Leftover Marry Me Chicken Orzo can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or frozen for about 2 months.
