Potato Base
  • 4 pieces Kartoffeln (Potatoes) Peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons Olivenöl (Olive oil) For coating the potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Gewürze (Spices) e.g. Paprika, Knoblauchpulver (garlic powder), salt, and pepper
Main Ingredients
  • 500 grams Hackfleisch (Ground meat) Can be substituted with a vegetarian alternative
  • 1 pack Taco-Gewürzmischung (Taco seasoning) To season the meat
Fresh Veggies
  • 2 pieces Tomaten (Tomatoes) Diced
  • 1 piece Avocado Sliced
  • 1 cup Salat (Lettuce) Chopped
Optional Toppings
  • 100 grams Käse (Cheese) Shredded, optional
  • 100 grams Sauerrahm (Sour cream) Optional, for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (about 400°F).
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.
  3. Mix the cubed potatoes with olive oil and spices, then spread them on a baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Roast the potatoes for 25-30 minutes, until they’re crispy and golden.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the ground meat in a skillet, seasoning it with the taco spice blend.
  3. Once the potatoes are ready, toss them into a bowl. Layer the spiced meat and fresh veggies on top.
  4. Drizzle with cheese and sour cream if desired, then dig in!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 4-5 days. For longer storage, freeze components separately for up to 3 months.
