Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Toast for added flavor.
  • 1 large egg
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1 jar marinara sauce Heat before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until just combined, then form into meatballs.
Cooking
  1. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through.
  2. Meanwhile, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan.
  3. Add meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Serve hot with pasta or on a sub roll.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
