Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil can be substituted with olive oil or any neutral oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • to taste green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • for serving cooked rice or steamed vegetables

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, toss chicken pieces with cornstarch until well coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour the honey mixture over the chicken and stir to coat.
  4. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with green onions.
  6. Serve hot with rice or steamed vegetables.

Notes

You can substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp. Add red pepper flakes for a little heat. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
