Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- In another small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken thighs and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir the cornstarch slurry and add it to the simmering sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Serving
- Serve the chicken thighs with the thickened sauce spooned over. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey garlic mixture for a couple of hours before cooking. You can swap out chicken thighs for chicken breasts but adjust cooking time accordingly. Consider adding veggies for a one-pan meal.
