Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 each egg
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Gravy Ingredients
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix and form into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and onions. Sauté until tender.
  2. Stir in flour, cooking for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until thickened.
  4. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of beef broth to maintain creaminess.
