  • 1 package pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese use part-skim for a healthier option
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni can be replaced with spicy pepperoni for a kick
  • 1 each egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning adds flavor, don't skip!
  • to taste serving Marinara sauce for dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the dough into 3-inch squares.
  4. Place a teaspoon of mozzarella cheese and a few slices of pepperoni in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
