Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, dried basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until it’s well blended.
- Spread half of the chicken mixture in the bottom of a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese over this layer.
- Layer the remaining chicken mixture on top, followed by the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Top with whole wheat breadcrumbs.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for about 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Make it ahead by prepping the night before and bake fresh.
