Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter Can substitute with any nut or seed butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Topping
  • to taste Dark chocolate (vegan) Melt for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Mix until the mixture is well-combined and forms a thick batter.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press it down evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the mixture is set.
  2. Allow to cool completely at room temperature.
Topping
  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Spread the melted dark chocolate evenly over the cooled almond-cocoa base.
  3. Place in refrigerator until the chocolate hardens, about 30 minutes.
  4. Once set, remove from refrigerator and cut into bar shapes. Serve immediately or store for later.

Notes

Don't rush the cooling process to ensure the best texture. Experiment with flavors by adding cinnamon or espresso powder.
