- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together.
- In another bowl, combine the coconut sugar, applesauce, melted coconut oil, and almond milk.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Scoop small amounts of dough and roll them into bite-sized balls.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While still warm, roll the churro bites in a mix of cinnamon and coconut sugar.
- Serve warm and enjoy your guilt-free treats!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze them for up to a month. Don’t skip the step of rolling them in that cinnamon and sugar mix while they’re warm, as it's essential for flavor!
