Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar or alternative sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cooking spray For greasing the air fryer basket
Coating
  • sugar and cinnamon mix For coating the churro bites

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add the applesauce and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough into small, bite-sized balls.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the dough balls in the basket and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
Finishing Touch
  1. While they’re still warm, roll them in a cinnamon-sugar mixture before serving.

Notes

For a vegan twist, use flaxseed meal in place of eggs. Store in the fridge for 3-5 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer.
