  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs Bring to room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder Unsweetened.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or your preference.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For extra fudgy cookies, slightly underbake them. Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat.
