  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water Use room temperature water for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Brush the top with olive oil for a golden crust.
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add the gluten-free flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
  5. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Cover the dough and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crusty.
  3. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

This bread can be paired with rich stews, or slather with garlic butter and herbs for a flavorful side. Stores at room temperature for 3 days or in the fridge for up to a week. Freezing slices is also an option for longer storage.
