Ingredients
  

Mousse Mixture
  • 1 cup heavy cream Chilled for easier whipping
  • 1/2 cup milk Can use plant-based milk for a vegan version
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee Brewed and warm
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses Can substitute with honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 teaspoons gelatin Dissolved in water before adding
Chocolate Glaze
  • 1/4 cup chocolate For glazing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, heat the milk and coffee until warm.
  2. In a bowl, combine sugar, molasses, and spices.
  3. Dissolve gelatin in a bit of water and add it to the sugar mix, then stir in the warm milk mixture.
  4. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the gingerbread mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into dome molds and refrigerate until set (about 4 hours).
  6. Prepare the chocolate glaze and pour it over the domes.
  7. Serve chilled!

Notes

Chill your bowl before whipping cream for better results. If desired, add a layer of whipped cream inside each dome before topping with glaze. To add a minty twist, incorporate peppermint extract.
