  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Using a high-quality marinara sauce elevates the dish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lay the flank steak flat on a cutting board and pound it to an even thickness.
  3. In a bowl, mix together bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the flank steak.
  5. Roll the steak tightly and secure it with kitchen twine or toothpicks.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the rolled steak on all sides until browned.
  2. Pour marinara sauce into a baking dish and place the seared steak rolls on top.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven, let rest, and slice into rounds to serve.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding sautéed spinach or roasted peppers to the filling. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
