  • 1 each everything bagel Toasted until golden brown
  • 1 each egg Cooked to your liking
  • 1 slice cheese (cheddar or your choice) Melted on top of the egg
  • 2 slices cooked bacon or sausage (optional) For added protein and flavor
  • salt and pepper to taste For seasoning the egg
  • butter or oil for frying Used in the skillet
  • fresh vegetables (like avocado or spinach, optional) For added freshness

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toast the everything bagel until it’s golden brown.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter or oil.
  3. Crack the egg into the pan and cook it to your liking, seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Add the slice of cheese on top of the egg in the skillet to melt.
  5. Assemble the sandwich by placing the egg and melted cheese on the bottom half of the bagel.
  6. If using, add your bacon or sausage, then pile on any fresh veggies.
  7. Top off with the other half of the bagel and serve immediately.

Notes

You can store leftovers in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat the egg and bagel in the skillet or microwave.
