Preparation
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Season the beef roast with salt and pepper, then lay it on top of the onion and garlic.
- In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and thyme, then pour it over the roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks in the slow cooker and stir it with the juices.
- Cut the hoagie rolls and fill them with the shredded beef, adding cheese if desired.
- Serve with a cup of the au jus for dipping.
