- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot and season with salt and black pepper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and chicken broth. Whisk until smooth and thoroughly combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- About 15 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions. Drain well.
- Serve the creamy chicken over the angel hair pasta and spoon extra sauce over the top.
Notes
For a healthier twist, use low-fat cream cheese or substitute the cream of chicken soup with a homemade version. For added texture, sprinkle with toasted pine nuts or crispy breadcrumbs before serving.
