  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  3. Allow to cool before serving.

Chill your dough for 30 minutes for extra crunch. Use high quality chocolate chips for better flavor. Feel free to experiment with different mix-ins like nuts or dried fruit. These biscuits can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a week or frozen for up to three months.
