  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter For a rich flavor
  • 1 tablespoon sugar For the dough
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with whole wheat flour
  • 2 large eggs For binding and texture
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor
Coating Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar For coating
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For coating

Method
 

Preparation of Dough
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and 1 tablespoon sugar; bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the flour until smooth.
  3. Allow to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla and salt.
Cooking Churro Bites
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Use a piping bag to pipe small bites onto parchment paper.
  3. Spray churro bites lightly with oil.
  4. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon together; roll the warm churro bites in this sugar mixture.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These churro bites can be served with chocolate sauce or whipped cream. Best eaten fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
