Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring it to a boil.
- Stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat and let it cool a bit.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pipe small lengths of dough onto parchment paper and freeze for 10-15 minutes.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place churro bites in the basket, ensuring they are not touching.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon. Toss warm churro bites into it immediately after cooking.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Use a star tip for the piping to give that classic churro shape. Freezing the dough is crucial for holding shape during cooking. Serve with chocolate sauce for dipping!
