Ingredients

Pasta and Beef
  • 8 oz pasta (your choice; penne or fusilli works great)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or plant-based ground meat.
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream or Greek yogurt Greek yogurt is a lighter option.
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or parmesan) Variety can be chosen based on preferences.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Once done, drain it and set it aside.
Cooking Beef
  1. In a large skillet, add the lean ground beef and cook over medium heat. Stir frequently and cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes. Be sure to drain any excess fat afterward.
Adding Aromatics
  1. Once the beef has browned, add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the garlic to become fragrant.
Creating Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream (or Greek yogurt) and add the grated cheese. Stir everything together until the sauce is smooth and the cheese has melted completely.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring that every piece is nicely coated in the creamy sauce.
Final Seasoning
  1. Finally, season with salt and pepper according to your preference. Stir to combine.
Serving
  1. Serve the creamy beef pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For the best texture, cook the pasta a minute or two short of the recommended time. This allows it to soak up the sauce later.
