  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 1 cup heavy cream or Greek yogurt Greek yogurt adds extra protein.
  • 1 cup cheese (Parmesan or cheddar) Grated for easy melting.
  • 2 cloves garlic Chopped or minced.
  • 1 small onion Chopped.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup vegetables (like spinach or bell peppers) Add for more color and nutrients.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking Beef and Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.
  2. Add lean ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Stir in heavy cream or Greek yogurt and cheese until melted and combined; then season with salt and pepper.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add in the cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  2. If using, add vegetables and cook until they are tender.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge or freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat with a splash of milk or water to keep it creamy.
