Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and thinly slice the sweet potatoes.
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a saucepan, then toss in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
Assembly
- Layer half of the sweet potatoes in a baking dish and pour half of the garlic butter sauce over them.
- Add the remaining sweet potatoes and pour on the rest of the sauce.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
Baking
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
