For the pasta and sauce
  • 12 oz penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti Choose your favorite pasta style.
  • 1 tablespoon salt For the pasta water.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter The secret ingredient for a rich sauce.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic depth.
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Added to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika For a smoky kick.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Makes everything richer.
  • ½ cup chicken broth Helps create a smooth sauce.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the chicken until cooked through. Remove and slice.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, boil your pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water, then drain.
  2. In the skillet, add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika, then pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Let it simmer until slightly thickened.
Combining
  1. Toss the cooked pasta and sliced chicken into the creamy sauce. Add cheese, and mix well until everyone’s coated.

Notes

Garnish with parsley and parmesan. Pairs well with garlic bread and a side salad. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for about 3 days.
