Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Chicken Breast (Boneless and skinless)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic for a bolder flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano (fresh preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil (fresh preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (or preferred cooking oil)
  • 12 oz Penne Pasta (any pasta shape can be used)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (unsalted preferred)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (freshly grated is preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and basil all over the chicken breasts.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and let it rest.
  3. In the same pan, add water and bring it to a boil. Toss in the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions.
Cooking
  1. Drain the pasta, then add butter and heavy cream to the skillet. Stir well.
  2. Chop the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces and mix it into the creamy pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
Garnishing
  1. Top your delicious dish with fresh parsley before diving in!

Notes

Make sure to rest your chicken for a few minutes after cooking; it seals in the juices! You can swap out chicken for shrimp or even tofu if you’re feeling adventurous. Add a handful of spinach at the end for a bit of crunch and nutrients without sacrificing creaminess.
