Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Add-Ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or dark chocolate.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt; then set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips thoroughly.
Baking
  1. Drop large tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them a few inches apart.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the borders are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
  3. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Cookies keep well in an airtight container for about a week at room temperature or up to two weeks in the refrigerator. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months.
