  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips use high-quality for rich flavor
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped strawberries gently.
Baking
  1. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto greased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  3. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  4. Optionally, drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with sprinkles.

Notes

Chill your dough for about 30 minutes if you want your cookies thicker and less spread-out. They can last about 3 to 5 days at room temperature in an airtight container or can be frozen for up to three months.
